 Aviation Maintenance Technology-Required Tools Minimize

The tools list has been revised over what is outlined in the current school catalog. The following are the minimum amount of tools required for aviation maintenance students to complete the first and second semester shop and course work. These tools are not provided by the school.
 
  1. Safety Glasses
  2. Hearing Protection
  3. Respirator
  4. Flashlight
  5. Inspection Mirror
  6. Screw Driver Set
  7. 3/8 drive 6pt socket set with ratchet and extensions
  8. Pliers set (needle nose, straight jaw, and channel lock)
  9. Box end-open end wrench set 5/16” to 1” including 11/32”
  10. Soldering iron (gas powered if desired)
  11. Wire strippers
  12. Wire crimpers
  13. Multimeter
  14. Automatic Center Punch
  15. 6” steel rule
  16. Drawing Tools
    1. Compass
    2. French Curve Set
    3. 12” ruler
    4. ¼” Graph paper
    5. Mechanical Pencils .5 & .7mm lead
    6. Sharpie Markers
