Dr. Runge is the Chief Academic Officer for Helena College, meaning that she is in charge of the entire academic program and serves as final supervisor of all faculty and staff in the academic areas.  Contact Dr. Runge for:

  • Final approval to waive a pre-requisite or required course (after obtaining approval from your advisor)
  • Override permission required to take more than 21 credit hours in a semester (ditto)
  • Resolution of any informal grievance (if unable to resolve it through the division chair)
  • Questions or complaints about a division chair or other academic affairs staff member’s actions or decisions

The Division Chair of General Education and Transfer for Helena College supervises faculty members who instruct in the following discipline areas: 1) Natural Science and Mathematics, 2) Written Communication, 3) Oral Communication,  4)  Social and Psychological Sciences, and 5) Humanities and Fine Arts.  Ms. Kelley also oversees faculty members who teach within the following interest areas:  Accounting and Business Technology, Computer Technology, Office Technology and Water Resources.  Contact Tia Kelley for:
