2 Days traveling — USA to Beijing (cross International Date Line)

4 Days in Beijing — Emphasis on History and CulturePagoda
• Temple of Heaven (Tian Tan) Complex – Qinian Dian, Round Altar, and Hall of Abstinence [World Heritage Site]
• Tiananmen (Tian’an Men) Square - Chairman Mao Zedong’s Mausoleum, Zhengyangmen Gate, and the Great Hall of the People.
• Forbidden City – Gate/Hall of Supreme Harmony, Imperial Gardens, Marble Bridges (Golden Water), Chinese Lions, and Marble Carriageways
• Great Wall of China – Mutianyu Section
• Summer Palace – Longevity Hill Tower of the Fragrance of the Buddha, Marble Boat, and Garden of Virtue and Harmony
• Evening - Beijing Opera
• Shopping in large Jade store…and other malls.

• FLIGHT TO XI’AN either end of 4th day in Beijing or early next day
2 days Xi’an
• Xi’an – Ming dynasty’s city wall
• Terracotta warriors of China’s First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang
• Great Mosque of Xi’an and Muslim Quarter

5 days Shanghai — Emphasis on Commerce & History
• Visit various mills and factories such as textiles, jade, silk, china, and hi-tech products. The group will hear an import/export expert discuss the process in China’s commerce. There will be planned University lectures on China’s commerce and international banking.
• Mall Shopping and “Old-time Shopping”
• Shanghai Museum and People’s Park and Square
• The Bund and the River Promenade – Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Customs House, Peace Hotel, Bank of China, and Jardine Matheson Building
• Suzhou Silk Museum, and Classical Gardens of Suzhou
• Nanjing Road

What is Required

Students must have a valid passport that will not expire before December 31, 2015.

Passports must be submitted March 1, 2015 to obtain a visa. (You must possess a passport prior to March 1, 2015.)

Typhoid and Hepatitus A immunizations are strongly encouraged. Consult your physician for other recommended immunizations.
