Interior Design—Series I

Have you always dreamed of a career in Interior Design? In this class, you will learn about the field and what it takes to become a professional Interior Designer. You’ll discover the relationship of the design fundamentals to the study and practice of Interior Design, the education requirements, and how to create and analyze your own design projects. For those who wish to learn more, Series II will be offered in February.

Beginning Journalism

This class is perfect for anyone from high schoolers to late bloomers who have an interest in this exciting field. Get a taste of what its really like from an instructor who was an editor and reporter for more than 25 years. Explore different approaches to stories, how to write tight, and how to deal with crazy editors. Class will also discuss the changing face of journalism and opportunities in the new frontier of e-journalism.

Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2)

This 36—40 hour course includes: S-130 Firefighter Training, S-190 Introduction to Fire Behavior, I-100 Introduction to ICS, and L-180 Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service. These courses are required prior to certification as an entry-level firefighter (FFT2) under the wildland qualification system.

Notes: Annual Fire Line Safety Refresher (RT-130) is not required for the first year as a Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) if you have completed a FFT2 certified course. However, it is required for subsequent years. For the Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) position, satisfactory completion of the Required Training meets the position qualification requirements. The Firefighter Type (FFT2) PTB has been eliminated and will be replaced with a Job Aid.
