Instructional Services
Library instruction is available for one-on-one, small groups, or classes. The library staff can tailor presentations to faculty or student requests.
Library instruction is an important part of academic life at the UM--Helena. The explosive growth of information will continue in the 21st century.
Students who have the skills to find, evaluate, and use information effectively are more successful in their classes and will be more successful at life-long learning after graduation.
Instructors are encouraged to arrange library research sessions that are tied to specific class assignments and projects. We can provide introductory tours, but feel library instruction is most successful when tied to specific assignments and projects. This allows us to prepare lessons appropriate to students' needs.
To arrange an instructional session, please submit a Request for Library Instuction or contact the librarian library@umh.umt.edu.
