Interlibrary Loan
The Library will borrow books, videos, and magazine articles from other libraries for your use. This is known as interlibrary loan.
Enter as much of the book, article or DVD's information as possible in this form. Make sure to add contact information so we can let you know when your request arrives.
Interlibrary Loan Requests
Requests are accepted from UM-Helena students, faculty, and staff.
Before making an interlibrary loan request, please exhaust our local resources:
- check the library catalog for books
- check for articles in our databases
- check the holdings of other local libraries
The Library will notify you by phone or email when the item is ready to be picked up at the Library front desk.
Most items arrive in a few days, but can take as long as 2-3 weeks. For more details, see our Interlibrary Loan Guidelines.
